Best of Central American flash City Tour

Downtown Belize City, a bit of a shithole as my uncle would say, but it is.. shame, but the result of hurricanes and lack of investment..

Dusk on the Lake near Tikal, Stayed in a wonderfully odd and basic hostel in the hills...
Where we had localled horse killed Constrictor for us tea! blimey.. a bit like very rubbery overcooked Monkfish. Quite tasty though. View over Tikal city at dusk.. and we kinda got lost on the way out, it got completely dark, as it does in the jungle.. and we got quite scared!! but it was fun. There're big cats in this places!! arrrgh!!!!

Central old town Guatamala City. Only really had time to walk about the area, I'm sure it had much more sights but it was one night only... heyhoo... The country look beautiful and I gotta see more..but the city, like most of these countries.. are a bit, mmm, better avoided maybe, not the beauty spot! Still, I love seeing people and how they live their lives. Certainly saw some of that.

Dusk over San Salvador (El Salvador). Had a great time here. Two days. Met some nice people and saw some of the town day and night. Really liked the place and wanna go back, we'll see...

A view over the garden of the modern art museum in San Salvador.

A chicken bus near the Honduras / Nicaragua border... Honduras looked very poor. Was goin to the capital Tegucigalpa but was quite a diversion and didn't have time.. so just saw people and countryside, which was beautiful, mostly unspoilt and basic.

Managua, Capital of Nicaragua. I arrived here late at night and was immediately pissed off with everyone telling me how dangeous it was and not to walk in the streets, get a cab everywhere.. :( well, i listened to them in the end and got a cab the 5 blocks from the bus terminal to a hostal. I could see it was a bit dodgy in the morning, but still, shame. Quite a beautiful city in parts, also suffering from lack of investment, corruption and earthquakes. Still, beautiful from certain angles and worth a visit. The countryside was lovely and lush.

A view from the central lake crater over the city to the bay. My funny taxi driver behind :)

Met this gorgeous woman, Mary, in the saturday morning market downtown San Jose, Costa Rica. Turns out she came here 50 years ago, met a german, married him, had two boys and never went back to Tunbridge.

San Jose was fun, and the countryside on Costa Rica is stunning, still, not enough time.. but saw many things I liked. Moreover, its a country you feel very safe in, and the people are friendly.

View from the peninsular to Panama City.

Downtown Panama City, with Leo, a wonderful fella I met and... well, if I were living in this city, I think he would have been my love, but que sera sera, or maybe hubiera sido... heyhoo.. better to have loved, aye?

Chillin' with the New Jersey Hood, or rather sammy pops and her breathren

New Year and 10 lovely days with Sammy in New Jersey, its been too long since the last visit and it won't be long before the next; so beautiful to spend time again, just like we used to looking back in Ongar, haha, ah :)

Had a fabulous day downtown, skating in central park, lunch, coffee, walkin about, the flicks mmmm woohoo, a perfect day.

Came across this bird of prey, ripping away, in the Central Park, don't know what it is, American Eagle?

quite cold though.. but i love the snow...

This is her lovely palace, blimey everything really is bigger here! The best thing, the front loaders a bright and shiney and new and huge!

Have a nice long walk in a forest near by on New Year's day.. very lovely and necessary after filling up with chrimbo nibbles mmmm

Comin Homo... few days in Alicante, Ongar and Town, Ah...

Mmm it runs in the family.. hehehe.. the love of the washing line/machine, I mean...

Sweet Marce getting a rub at Rufus picnic concert, what a lovely night.. had another the following week with Diana Krall, Joana and the boys. Can't beat London hot summer nights, ah...

Just happened to be the GayDay or whatever they call it now... these were the cheeky aussie bum boys.. others were smiling alot more.. for some reason, the equation seems to be more muscles/less smiling? or am I just a bit jealous? haha

Gorgeous birthday dinner with Ian & Liz who share the same day, and share nicely they do, and Tony and Ricky-roo too, bit pissy, ooo, it all ended a bit messily in Holland Park.. no, not the rich heart land of Holland Park.. hahaha

Ohhh. lovely Alicante, moonlight nights, sun, sea, sandy afternoons, friends, Oh, what more can a boy want...

Up to the Dutchies in the Hills and to meet the new Donkeys and Doggie.

If you ever want to go, its absolutely beautiful, peaceful, charming hosts and near the sea and coast if you really want all that: http://www.refugiomarnes.com/

And it was Fallas, so lots of people out and about and up to now good. Which is nice.

Oh, England, my Lionheart... this is how I think of the countryside, Ah. I sing that song to myself whenever I land here. Ah. Its all Golden now... mmm... time to take Nelly for a walk... well, next week when I'm back.

Maroubra to Bondi with the boys

My last week in Sydney for the year and Rich has arrived! woohoo! Rich, Jezza and I went for a long early winter walk from Maroubra Beach to Bondi the other afternoon. It was perfect weather, well, cool, but just right for a long walk by the sea... mmm and fush and chups for lunch, and coffee, and another coffee and so on and so forth, haha.

Maroubra Beach, south side of Sydney, which was much more rural feeling that I expected. They were filming something just to the left there... lots of fit types running into the waves... very homo and away I thought.

One of the many sea pools along the coast. I like them but get to thinking some shark out there might get bored of treading water waiting for dinner and just jump over and have a good feed... ooo blimey!

Bondi sea pool, the classic, I think!

The boys between Tamarama and Bondi.. we saw some Penguins just below there splashing about in the waves, ah :)

Beach Barnacles Búsqueda up at Eastery Raglan

I fancied sequential rather than left right centre blah blah blah...

Just some nice views from a gorgeous afternoon's walk along Raglan beach with Jacks.

Such a beautiful place, I bored her ridged with me constant exclamations of how lovely it was, I think I over use that word as it is...

This guy had some self-powered torpedo thingy called a Kontiki which periodically shoots out from the shore, draggin a long line of hooks, and look what he caught! Had a box full of lovely Snapper (which we also had for fish and chups later..).

Any suggestions to add some variety to me vocab??

Naps with The Doctor

We met, I fell in love, I don't think he gives a damn but he's sweet and knows how to play me, what can I do, I'm a sucker for enthusiastic bouncin' sweet boys who want my attention, and I can give it so easily its just a pleasure and all worries disappear. Eddie is my only love, for the moment.

Eddie and Me, he has me in the palm (?) of his paw, ah :)

Oh look, the same top, the same shorts.. how odd.. but at least a new and gorgeous backdrop. We took our burgers, running up that hill, above Hastings one evening; absolutely beautiful. I need some more adjectives, I'm getting a bit too predictable with them, aye??

Just back, well, the other week, from a fun filled five freewheelin days over in Napier & Hastings (and Havelock) with Justin, and Jacks came for a few days too :)
We also started a sailing course which was so much fun I was grinning like the Underland Cat...

Eh, he looks all dark and moody aye, but don't be worryin, he's really quite cheery and blond, but don't tell him, he likes to think he's a smart cookie but I sure did catch him out on antibiotic usage and the like, oh yes, just don't tell him, he's very sensitive, not like me, no no, I'm never offended, no, how very dare...
and on and on, but its quite amusing, to me... I try. Ooo Antony and the Johnsons have just come on, Kiss My Name, he's got the most gorgeous unusual wonderful voice, wish he would record more...
