Morning Sonnet

I woke with a need to put some thoughts into a sonnet, how odd? Well, it might not be correct to traditional English iambic pentameter form (the second line especially doesn't work), but you get the idea. I Never felt the need to write a poem before.

Behind

The night brings and dawn will not take away
A memory's passion, future unmade

Cruel the master not known to his play
This vessel's innocence fashion will shade

A womb holds no comfort for marrow's youth
Peers close yet here my soul withers and why?

Nought those treasures won near these rocks truth
Neither loves found nor lost in this dry sky

Flight and thought to shining towers crystal
Haze the mind as members swallow themselves

Thud pump caught onomatopoeic pistol
Surrounded lust finds and blind eyes will delve

but sweet light I want you still, now I know
for real, you are not mine and never will

Matarangi summer days out

Just back from a few fantastic days up in Matarangi, Coromandel Peninsula. I stayed with Michael, Andrew, Trey & Jackie. Hereafter known as the Usuals, and some others came and went too, as I did. Paul couldn't come due to his horses as usual, heyhoo.

Great Mercury Island

We did a bit of fishing too, I didn't catch anything this time but Trey got a lovely snapper.

This beach was idyllic! And someone had left a tree swing... which you will see in the video :)

A View to Great Mercury Island, owned by a NZ industrialist or something or nothing, but he lives in Switzerland, the fool :) haha

that was fun.. it wasn't me screamin'!

Raglan Pony Beach makes a Lovely Arvo Mmm

Had a great afternoon out with the boys on Raglan beach

We went over in Scotty's truck which was fun in itself, especially, pulling over to fill up the tank... very butch! hahaha. Little Lucy LuLu, Scotty's woofa, spend the day racing after them.

but she loved it and was just very quiet on the way home :)

Kite-surfers too, anothering thing I should have tried in Spain but didn't.

Looks like he enjoyed it, aye?

Gave them a nice fresh grassy feed before leaving

woohoo!

lovely, huffin' and a puffin' romp!

I've decided I need to get back into exercise, so I kick started, mmm, my new daily routine with a -hike- up a local hill - Maungatautari. The DOC info said 2 hrs, and unusually they were right, as I stopped several times on the way up to wheeze, oh the shame... heyhoo...

I love big beautiful bush! Mmm, but it was very damp and slippy in there.

And the view on coming down in the late afternoon was kind of stunning iconic NZ landscape, Mmm.

Friday to Sunday night project, good times in Welly

Starting on a more serious note, my lovers...
Opening of Parliament, 2008, with the incoming Key Government. Can't help feeling it very strange the country voting in an Ex city trader just when we're told the world is going tits up due to people like him and their activities... curious NZ :)

Ah, Ritchie finally meets his perfect mate!

A few holes pot, no need to elaborate I think. Later came along a Wellingtonian cum Chicago cum Palm Strings mystery trio! but that's not for here...

In the dude magnet.. supposedly...

Also I discovered Friday, now Sunday night project this weekend, a bit behind my UK shipmates, and now I understand why that Mr Carr and Lee whatsit are such a comedy cult.. i love it, init.

Oo oo, also saw two films; One awful - The Day The Earth Stood Still or what ever its called, its just awful, which is a shame coz I love Scifi. The Other was right fab - RockNRolla! Woohoo!

Last day at Hot Water Beach

So, you can skip the beached whale jokes, and don't be fooled by the next picture and think that paulie dug this hole, oh no, we actually nicked it from a vacating couple, as our first attempt was a little late with the tide coming in.. mmm, but lovely steamy tum burning hot! woohoo!

What a wonderful last few moments of this week away. Although the frickin' phone decided not to take a picture until they had mostly disappeared, we saw this pod of dolphins swim in and out of the bay, really awesome to watch and left us such a warm feeling on leaving this stunning place :)

In Hot Water again

No photos as I seem to be leaving my phone at the bach the time, saw this bugger this morning when dipping my feet in the hot thermals on the beach, ugly and beautiful:
Eagle Ray, although I think it was a New Zealand Eagle Ray, which might be a little different :)
